Sun Bears & Their Long Tongues

 

Sun bears chow down bugs, leaves, reptiles, and berries. Yet, the sun bear’s most loved bite is nectar. To get the treat, they tear open bee sanctuaries with their sharp paws. At that point the bears utilize their super long tongues to separate the nectar inside, regularly eating up honey bees with the sticky sweet. Fortunately they don’t appear to be annoyed by honey bee stings. That is nothing to stick your tongue out at.

Sun Bear as we know are the smallest in bear family, Found in the Tropical regions of South East Asia, threatened by loss of habitat illegal hunting and wildlife trade, their body parts used in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). But there is something more to these wonderful creatures.

It is said the living organisms adopt the environment they live in, they blend into their surroundings with the passage of time. People live in the North of The pole in cooler regions & countries are more resilient to the cold and when they travel to hot or tropical region they will feel more heat as compared to the locals living their. This is the law of the nature, all humans beings are gifted with survival skills. one of this particular skill is called acclimatization.

These Lovely little bears have acclimatize into their living environment, they live and eat different from their brothers it the other parts of the world like Arctic Circle, Brown Bears of Alaska, the Himalayan Brown Bears of Pakistan. Sun Bears are involve with honey they tear apart the woods and Bee hives to get what they want to eat.

Sun Bears eat fruits, vegetables, the have some of eating traits from the Panda Bear, panda like to chew Bamboo while Sun Bear will chew eat, Sugarcane, Pineapple, Oranges, Water Melons, Pumpkins, Coconut and other juicy fruits. They have this tendency to use their tongue to get juice, nectar from their favorite edibles. You will always observe them ripping the shells of coconut and using their tongue, to get the juice inside, they used quiet same tactics for many of the fruits they eat.  God has made everything for a purpose, so does the Sun Bear’s tongue has a purpose in their life too.

 

Nature works on the phenomenon of the balance, it creates a balance in all forms of life on Land, Seas in ecology of our Earth in the Skies we will find Balance. That purpose is also served by the Tongue and Paws of Sun Bears. They use their Tongue to eat ant and insects but what it gives in result ti the nature, withe the help of their Paws and tongue they are make the soil more fertile by digging with their paws by licking with their tongues the plants seeds find their spot to grow themselves into a plant. This is how nature keeps it’s balance

This is how the Nature functions, and that is why we need Sun Bears in the places they belong. by Cutting down trees and growing Palm Oil Plantations  we are not also destroying Habitat of Sun Bears but also destroying the Balance of the Nature, The Ecology of The Earth and it’s ability to heal itself and keep providing us Oxygen, water, plants etc. We need to Conserve the land and Natural habitat of Sun Bears.
