Under his leadership, MPCEN has become a platform for impactful storytelling, blending his expertise in multimedia with a commitment to preserving nature for future generations.

Political Ecologist - Environmental Researcher
Usman Ashraf is a dedicated Political Ecologist and environmental researcher, currently pursuing his doctoral studies in the Doctoral Programme in Political, Societal, and Regional Change. With a strong focus on sustainability, Usman is a grant-funded researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, affiliated with the Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS). His work explores the intersection of environmental issues and political ecology, contributing to the broader understanding of sustainability challenges in our world today.

Aaron Gekoski is an internationally-acclaimed environmental photojournalist and film producer, who has been documenting our complex relationship with animals for more than 15 years. His photography regularly appears in the international press and he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2024 Environmental Photographer of the Year. Aaron produces documentaries for international broadcasters, with the aim of making conservation accessible to all through entertaining and educational content.

Dimana Shishkova

Director of Photography (Filmmaker & Researcher)
Dimana Shishkova is born and raised in Bulgaria filmmaker, with a passion for exploring traditional cultures and their people from around the world. After graduating in Geoecology from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Dimana moved to Berlin, where she is currently based and continuously improves her craft of storytelling. Author of the full-length documentary The Bedechka Case, several documentaries for German national TV broadcasters, news reports and interviews on current topics and affairs, as well as video courses and presentations.

Jocelyn Stokes

Wildlife Filmmaker & Researcher
Jocelyn is a cinematographer, wildlife biologist and producer with a decade of experience filming endangered species in some of the world's most remote wilderness locations. Her technical skills in long lens shooting, gimbal work and drone operation to capture unique natural history sequences have led to award-winning conservation films. Jocelyn's passion for making films that focus on wildlife conservation solutions has resulted in collaborations with leading environmentalists and conservation organizations, as well as, Mongabay, BBC, National Geographic, International League of Conservation Photographers, and Smithsonian.
David Kabambo

David Kabambo

Program Director -Tanzania
David L. Kabambo, has over 16 years’ experience working in rural areas on issues of community development and participatory community engage on conservation to protect nature and wild spices, He is a founder and Executive Director of Peace for conservation, Hold B.A degree in Social work, Postgraduate diploma in wildlife management and a presently working towards a master degree in Natural Resources Management assessment. He worked difference organization, Plan International Tanzania as a community development facilitators, AMREF health Africa as project coordinator officer on the Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) and Peace for conservation, CO-founder & Executive Director.
