David L. Kabambo is a seasoned community development expert and conservationist with over 16 years of experience working in rural areas to promote sustainable development and protect nature and wildlife. He is the founder and Executive Director of Peace for Conservation, an organization dedicated to engaging communities in participatory conservation efforts to safeguard natural resources and wildlife.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Postgraduate Diploma in Wildlife Management. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Management and Assessment, further deepening his expertise in the field. Throughout his career, David has worked with various organizations, including Plan International Tanzania, where he served as a Community Development Facilitator, and AMREF Health Africa, where he worked as a Project Coordinator Officer on the Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) program.
Under his leadership at Peace for Conservation, David has been instrumental in fostering community-led initiatives that balance the needs of local populations with the imperative to protect wildlife and natural habitats. His work reflects a deep commitment to empowering communities through education and sustainable practices, ensuring that conservation efforts are inclusive and effective.
